PE Days
The children will be having an outdoor PE session with Argyle on FRIDAY mornings this term, so please ensure you are sending your child into school wearing their PE kit. We will also be having PE indoors on a MONDAY afternoon.
Hello everyone!

Just a message to make sure that your child is reading at home every single night and that this needs to be recorded in their Homework Diary to keep track of what books they are reading and how far they are getting.

The children have also been sent home with a hard copy of their Home Learning Grids, and I will also attach a copy of this to Class Dojo.

Best wishes,
Miss Clark.

We now have two beautiful Jesse Trees! Thank you so much to one of our very thoughtful children for bringing in a tree so that we could hang all of our symbols up! We are so lucky to have such thoughtful children and families at Keyham Barton.
Friday 13th December

To complete our Prophecy and Promise unit in RE, Integrity Class have made some beautiful symbols to represent the individuals who are remembered on the Jesse Tree. We have created our own class tree and added the children's drawings, it looks absolutely beautiful.
The children have thoroughly enjoyed learning about different prophets this term, and this has been reflected in their incredible work.

This morning, Integrity and Justice classes had a visit from Tom, who works with the Houses of Parliament to teach primary school children about how the British government works and importance of democracy as a British value. The children behaved beautifully (even if the technology didn't) and had lots of questions about the House of Commons and the House of Lords.

WOW - what a fun filled day we've had!

We kicked off our history topic today with creating a gigantic human timeline! The children absolutely loved this, and seeing them work so well together in groups was amazing. Love the teamwork guys!
We then started our next unit in PE with Argyle which is Football! Lots of the children were super excited about this, which was so lovely to see.
6th November

Good evening Integrity families.

It was so lovely to see lots of you at the PTFA Firework Disco having so much fun. What a lovely way to start the next academic term!

I just wanted to say a huge WELL DONE to Integrity class for performing so well on your Star Reader Assessments. The progress you have made from only September is absolutely incredible. So many children have increased in their reading age, and I can only see this increasing across the year. You guys are amazing, you should be so proud of yourselves.

Keep up the good work and keep up the reading!

Miss Clark

25th October
We went on a Pilgrimage to the local Co-op.
24th October
This afternoon Integrity had a visit from The National Trust to have a look at lots of fun interactive activities all about reducing waste creatively. The children had so much fun painting, printing and sticking!
14th October
Today we got in the spirit of the 1950s! The children looked at different dance moves from the rocking 50s to incorporate into their rock and roll dance routine. We have already looked at the hand jive, and today we focused on the twist!
We had lots of fun!
7th October
The Year 4s from Integrity class had a super fun afternoon grouping different rocks!
We have previously looked at how different rocks can be grouped and we have also looked at how different rocks can be formed!

The children, along with some super helpers from Year 6, had a lovely time getting stuck in with this practical activity and some beautiful work that has been reflected in their books.

14th September
This afternoon, the children worked in small groups to create models of the digestive system.

This involved crushing food (biscuits) mixed with saliva (water) in the mouth (a zippy wallet) before moving on to churning up the food in a stomach containing acid (orange juice). They then squeezed it through the small and large intestines (tights) to absorb the water before squeezing the faeces (the mixture) out of the anus (a hole at the bottom of the tights).

The children were very excited and most of them really got stuck in, but a few didn't like the smell, so preferred to watch from a distance! They did all wash their hands afterwards.

I would have loved to share photos, but my hands soon got too messy to hold the iPad!

Why not ask your child what they can recall to help them with their write up tomorrow afternoon?
